Mr. Arash HIbibi-Soureh of Veregy presented information of energy conservation programs.

3.1
Early Literacy Achievement Grant
A specialized Teacher Appreciation Grant was part of the 2024 Budget. It is specialized since only classroom teachers, instructional coaches, special needs teachers responsible for delivering literacy and reading instruction in kindergarten through 3rd grade are eligible. The conditions are as follows:
- A staff member must have done this work during the 2022-2023 school year and continue in this role with the school corporation on the date of distribution of the grant.
- Funds must be distributed within 30 days of receipt by the school corporation.
- Distributions must be approved by the school board (no prescribed format so it could be done via resolution or approval of a distribution list)
- Schools must submit rationale/documentation on distribution of funds and staff eligibility determination by January 19, 2024.
Minutes
Dr. Glaze gave an overview of the Early Literacy Achievement Grant. He noted that there has been a flurry of information recently in regard to this grant from various organizations. There is a strict deadline for expending these funds and at this time, we have figured strictly according to the guidelines.
