TCSC School Board Public Work Session

A specialized Teacher Appreciation Grant was part of the 2024 Budget.   It is specialized since only classroom teachers,  instructional coaches, special needs teachers responsible for delivering literacy and reading instruction in kindergarten through 3rd grade are eligible.  The conditions are as follows:  

• A staff member must have done this work during the 2022-2023 school year and continue in this role with the school corporation on the date of distribution of the grant. 
• Funds must be distributed within 30 days of receipt by the school corporation. 
• Distributions must be approved by the school board (no prescribed format so it could be done via resolution or approval of a distribution list)
• Schools must submit rationale/documentation on distribution of funds and staff eligibility determination by January 19, 2024.
