TCSC School Board Public Work Session

Mrs. Humrichous, President, called the public work session to order at 5:45 p.m.

Mr. Jaworski, Director of Student Achievement and Learning, reviewed the proposed changes to the attendance guidelines for the 2023-2024 school year.

Information on this new policy will be pushed out to families prior to the next school year starting, perhaps during registration.  The team is still working on the specifics, but will make sure that this is made known to parents and students.

Mrs. Rodibaugh reported that she had been contacted by a family asking whether at any time the school would contact a child’s physician without parental permission.  It was reiterated that the school would not be allowed to contact the physician without parental permission.

Dr. Glaze reviewed the current organizational flowchart. With the retirement of our Director of Student Services/Transportation, Dr. Glaze requested consideration of reinstating the Assistant Superintendent position. Funding for this proposed additional position was reviewed as well. A shift in responsibilities to accommodate this proposed position were reviewed as well. A proposed organizational chart to include the Assistant Superintendent was presented as well.

Laura Sottong addressed the board regarding refocusing financial responsibility.
