TCSC School Board Work Session

The Work Session was called to order at 5:30 PM by Mr. Plumer.

Mr. Carlisle reported to the Board on the Bus Driver Training Program we have started at Tipton Community Schools. This program is to help those interested in becoming as bus drive obtain the skills needed to get their CDL with Bus Driver endorsement. There has been a lot of interest in this program.

Mrs. Campbell reported to the Board about how Residential TIF Districts have worked in other districts in Indiana.

Dr. Glaze presented to the Board about the new phone system. Our current system is not able to be updated. Hardware upfront costs include $20,000. Monthly increase of about $400. All extensions will change in the new system. This system is able to be expanded if needed.

Dr. Glaze updated the Board on Construction progress. Football field walk through 8/9/2022. They are putting ashpault down by the football field/student parking lot. It is expected for work to resume on the HS parking lot in the next week or so following approval by the DNR. Elementary demo is making good progress.
