Mr. Kegan Schmicker has been appointed to fill a vacancy on the school board. He will be sworn in by Amy Phillips, Notary Public.
We will now recess and open a Public Hearing for the 2020-2024 Bus Replacement Plan.
At the September 10, 2019, meeting of the Tipton Community School Corporation’s Board of School Trustees, the Board voted to approve the 2020 Budget and Capital Project Plan. However, the vote for the Bus Replacement Plan resulted in a 3-3 tie. The Board will reconsider the Bus Replacement Plan. To do so, the Board has advertised that a Public Hearing on the Bus Replacement Plan to b e held tonight. We will now open the hearing for public comment on the 2020-2024 Bus Replacement Plan.
Seeing no other comments, the Public Hearing is now closed. We will resume our regular meeting.
A member of the Board may request any item to be removed from the consent resolution and defer it for a specific action and more discussion. No vote of the Board will be required to remove an item from the consent agenda. A single member's request shall cause it to be relocated as an action item eligible for discussion. Any item on the consent agenda may be removed and discussed as a nonaction item or be deferred for further study and discussion at a subsequent Board meeting if the Superintendent or any Board member thinks the item requires further discussion. (ByLaw 0166.1)
It is recommended that the following Consent Agenda Items be approved:
Approval of the Agenda
Approval of Minutes
Approval of Claims
Approval of Personnel Report
Approval of Field Trips (Overnight and/or Out-of-State)
Approval to Accept Donations
Tipton Elementary School - Survivor Day, Grade 5

A second Public Hearing on the proposed Bus Replacement Plan was held earlier this evening. It is recommended that the 2020-2024 Bus Replacement Plan be approved. Recommendation will be brought to the Board before any purchases of new buses are made.
Each school is required to develop a School Improvement Plan for accreditation. Those plans, that include specific goals, are to be submitted to IDOE by October. It is recommended that the Board approve the School Improvement Plans for Tipton Elementary, Tipton Middle and Tipton High Schools.
These documents are available to you in the Google Drive.
Tipton Elementary and Tipton Middle Schools have a number of items that are no longer needed or are usable. These items, mainly furniture and old AV equipment, are listed. It is recommended that these items be declared surplus and be discarded.
