    A member of the Board may request any item to be removed from the consent resolution and defer it for a specific action and more discussion. No vote of the Board will be required to remove an item from the consent agenda. A single member's request shall cause it to be relocated as an action item eligible for discussion. Any item on the consent agenda may be removed and discussed as a nonaction item or be deferred for further study and discussion at a subsequent Board meeting if the Superintendent or any Board member thinks the item requires further discussion. (ByLaw 0166.1)

    4. Superintendent's Report

    Thank you Tipton County Highway Department for allowing TCSC to borrow their wood chipper to help clean up limbs from school grounds.


    4.1 Financial Report

    The end of June financial report shows our accounts in the positive.  Our cash balance in the Education Fund is $162,451 after our transfer from the Rainy Day Fund of $200,000,  In the Operation Fund our cash balance is $2,558,836 after property tax collection of $1,720,288 and transfer of $500,000 from the Rainy Day Fund of $500,000 (to cover expenses for the greenhouse).  Balances in Debt Service are 1,270,323 and Rainy Day Fund are $2,511,841.  We must continue to watch the Education Fund balance for next 6 months.

    6.1 Consideration to approve the agreement between TCSC and KASEC for 2021-2022.

    TCSC has been a member of KASEC for a number of years.  This is the annual agreement between TCSC and KASEC that is presented for approval on an annual basis.

    It is recommended that the 2021-2022 agreement between TCSC and KASEC be approved.


    6.2 Consideration to approve TCSC Virtual Plan

    The 2021-22 TCSC Virtual Plan is a much more streamlined approach to virtual learning.  All TCSC virtual students will use Edmentum products as their curriculum.  K-5 will use EdOptions while 6-12 will use Edmentum software and Plato.  In order to qualify for TCSC Virtual, students must have a valid and medically documented need to attend in the virtual environment.  Student progress will be monitored closely within these program.  It is recommended the Board of Trustees approve the 2021-22 TCSC Virtual Plan.


    6.3 Consideration to approve the Transportation Handbook and Ride Guide

    Both the Transportation Handbook and Ride Guide have been updated in the last few months.  The updates are mostly due to changes in personnel, but also updates in Indiana Code and procedures.  The Transportation Handbook will be reviewed with all drivers at the beginning of year bus driver meeting.  The Ride Guide will be included in registration materials for parent sign-off.  It is recommended the Board of Trustees approve both the Transportation Handbook and Ride Guide as presented.
