    1. Current Project List - Updates

    1.1 Extra Projects

    1.2 Playground

Recreation Unlimited will begin work on the playground during spring break.  It will take 1-2 days to remove the mulch from the smaller playgrounds into the larger one.  It will require 3-4 days of good weather to complete the Pour In Place (PIP) on the two smaller areas.  The forecast for next week in not looking real good.  They may need to extend their time beyond spring break, requiring the two smaller areas to be closed for a brief time.

    1.3 Weight Room

    FROM PERFORMANCE SERVICES:

Attached is a preliminary weight room design that our architect came up with after meeting on 2/19.  We would budget between $150k – $175k to complete a variation of what is shown.

    1.       Part of the conversation was to relocate the batting cage and on the drawing that is indicated with Option 1 and Option 2.

    2.       The entrance into the weight room will be through double doors on the north wall.

    3.       The plywood exterior would be removed and new sheathing installed to give a more uniform appearance.

    4.       Current plan shows 4 windows on the north wall to provide visibility into the weight room.

    5.       The Mirror wall would be relocated to the east wall

    6.       The single door would be filled in.

    7.       New interlocking athletic flooring would be installed in the weight room.

    8.       Fresh paint on the interior and exterior.

    1.4 Auditorium

Interior - depending on the extent of damage repair estimates are from $1200 to $3500

    Exterior - See proposal

We will look into getting additional quotes on these two areas.

    1.5 Air Handler

The air handler near the auditorium was the cause of the fire alarms going off last Thursday.  The shaft on the fan broke and was creating friction that caused smoking.  There was no chance for fire with the all metal area.  The cost to replace the shaft and bearing will be a little over $2000.

    1.6 Water Pipe (TMS Hallway)

Goudy will begin working on the replacement pipe in the middle school hallway by Entrance J.  Work will be completed in 3-4 days with a cost of just under $10,000.

    1.7 Signage

    1.8 Security Cameras

Most of the replacement security cameras have been installed and are operational.  The exception would be a couple of outside cameras the Roeing was waiting for better weather to work on those.  We are much improved with the security cameras but there is some tweaking to be completed.  We have the 2nd round of quotes we will get updated when the safe school grants come out later this summer.  The grant will most likely be different with changes coming from this year's legislative session.

    2. Technology

    2.1 Camera System for Board

An email was sent to Bill Steen this morning (3/19/19) to get more information about pursuing the purchase of a camera system for TCSC.  Not heard anything back as of this afternoon.

    2.2 Five-Star Technologies
    • Contacted Five-Star regarding curriculum development
    • Five-Star has looked into interactive boards.  We will meet with them after Spring Break on this and other projects
    • They have assisted Steven in completing the Technology Plan (See attached)
    • Provided assistance in developing a grant that was submitted to the state. (Unsuccessful)
    • Have plans to begin professional development with technology for staff after spring break.

    3. Other

    3.1 Mowing

Scott has been in contact with the mower to make sure they get on top of things early in the season.

3.2 MS Gym - Outside Steps

We will take care of painting the steps outside the TMS gym.  We are also getting estimates for hand rails at both doors.

    4. Next Meeting

The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 20 at 5:30 PM.
